Scandinavian and successful interiors
Kinnarps is one of Europe’s leading and largest suppliers of office furniture as well as furniture for education and healthcare environments. The company was founded in Kinnarp, Sweden, in 1942 by Jarl and Evy Andersson who saw the need, in an increasingly service-based society, for office products that were modern, functional, and aesthetically pleasing. Today, our range also consists of complete furniture solutions for schools and healthcare. Kinnarps is present in approximately 40 countries around the world. Our headquarters and main production facility is still in Kinnarp in the southwestern part of Sweden.
Kinnarps offers sustainable furniture based on high quality, holistic ergonomics, and Scandinavian design. We began with office furniture in the early 1940s. Today, our range has evolved with furniture for all kinds of offices, but also furniture for education and healthcare environments. Our experience, knowledge, and size, combined with our interior solutions, create a seamless whole that enables entire projects to be furnished in an integrated way.
We supply office furniture for all kinds of workplaces: everything from open-plan offices, activity-based offices, and individual offices to conference, training and meeting rooms, cafés, restaurants, and receptions. To complement our office furniture, we offer a wide range of products for schools and healthcare facilities. As a furniture supplier, Kinnarps has always focused heavily on design and product development. We believe that our furniture must be innovative, ergonomic, sustainable, and beautiful to look at. Our products are always characterised by good design, high quality, and a low environmental impact.
Our aim is the lead the way and stay one step ahead of the competition. That’s why we’ve got our own research and trendspotting team who look ahead to the offices and workplaces as well as the education and healthcare environments of tomorrow. Kinnarps’s furniture must be a safe choice: a choice for the future that gives you and your organisation the scope to evolve. We take responsibility for the entire value chain, from development, procurement of raw materials, and production to delivery and installation of furniture and complete interior design solutions on our client’s premises. We’ve got our own accredited test laboratory for testing our solutions and the sustainability features of our furniture.
Kinnarps is truly unique in the furniture industry. We’ve got our own dedicated logistics system, which enables us to manage and optimise deliveries of furniture directly to our clients. We use blankets rather than boxes to protect our products: blankets that can be reused and save a great deal of space. As a result, we can deliver more furniture in one go and we use the minimum of packaging. This benefits the environment through reduced CO2 emissions.
Kinnarps has a total of six different production facilities for furniture in Sweden. Production and assembly take place in Kinnarp, Jönköping, Skillingaryd, Vinslöv, and Tranås. The largest facility is in Kinnarp, which is also where our group management and central group functions are based. In total, we employ about 2,300 people who specialise in furniture for offices, education, and healthcare. Together, we create successful interiors.
